The customer is an US-based company, the owner of the online video chat solution.
The project goal was to develop a web application which would allow people to create their own moderated video conferences using ooVoo. The application brings people together to talk face to face, even if they are not in each others’ contact lists.
Participants join the conference and are moved to the waiting queue. Since ooVoo client supplies 6 video streams at the same time, a moderator can have 6 participants in the active list of the conference. Other participants wait to be added to the call.
The moderator has a full set of controls to lead the conference:
- Invite ooVoo friends and other people to a conference.
- Manage active list (mute/unmute one or all participants, change resolution of any participant to High/standard, ban participants).
- Manage waiting queue list (add, remove participants, chat with any of them, move participants between active and waiting lists and send messages to all participants in the queue).
- Customize his/her event and Ustream settings.
Moderator panel can be launched from the moderator’s website or any other website, blog or social network page where it is integrated as an IFrame. Moderator panel supplies a set of skins to meet different colors and design requirements. As a result, the moderator can choose a skin he/she likes (or which matches his/her website colors).
Moderator Panel may use both Web API and Client API depending on moderator’s settings.
Thanks to Moderator panel implemented by Oxagile, the customer obtained an excellent opportunity to distribute the tool between his investors and they managed to organize and hold different video events: TV shows, training and coaching sessions, interviews with stars and other scheduled video activities.
